It's great to see you and I hope you're doing well! Thank you for playing in the January NBUS Challenge with all your beautiful goodies! Judging by the fantastic number of entries, I can tell that Santa was very good to you!
It was hard to narrow my showcase down to one, so I have chosen to showcase both #20 Anita Trippi (left) and #14 Leslie M (right):
I've recently pulled out a clear stamp image from a set that I purchased in say 2009 (estimate). It is a good quality stamp, manufactured from a reputable company. It's been a long hot minute since I pulled this particular set out to use. Let me say, getting that never-before-used image off the backing sheet was a bugger. I was worried that it would tear. There was another image in that set that I had used previously (most likely when I first purchased it) and that one came off with no problem. I've had similar issues with older never-used clear stamps in the past, so now I know. I'm happy to report that the newly paroled stamp stamp still works great. The other never-used stamps in this set were equally difficult to eradicate.Consider this advice: With all the new clear sets you buy that come on an acetate backing sheet, go ahead and release all the images off of the acetate sheet at least once before you place them in your storage. Your distant future self will thank you!
Thank you for sharing this advice, Annie! (If you're on Facebook, please thank Annie there, if you can.❤)

The basic idea of this challenge is evident in the name. Whether it's something you have just purchased or something collecting dust in the back of a drawer, you are proud when you use something never-before-used in your creation! This is the place for you to share those NBUS works of art! I will also proudly share whenever I excavate and use something!
There are no limitations on what you can create, but there are a few RULES which you can find on the tab above. If this is your first visit, please take a minute to read them. You can also click here for answers to any questions you might have.
You may use this badge for your blog post if you like, but it is not mandatory.
I can't wait to see what you share with us!
The challenge closes February 28, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. PST.
Have fun!

Here we are at the start of another NBUS month and there is still plenty of scope for use in my stash as well as in very many others I'm sure, so thank you Darnell for continuing to give us a place to share and gain inspiration. Congratulations to Anita and Leslie for being showcased this month with their two beautiful brilliant cards, and thank you for bringing to our notice Annie's thoughts on releasing old NBUS stamps from the acetate, certainly something to bear in mind. x
That's great advice about removing stamps from the backing sheet the once before putting them away. Off to check out Annie on FB!
I'll be back tomorrow with a card which has loads of NBUS items in the making process!
Hugs

Great card features, Darnell - I'm especially enthralled with Leslie's gorgeous scene! And thanks for the tip re: clear stamps - stickage has happened to me too, sometimes with the unfortunate tearing. I will try to remember to release them promptly!! Happy NBUS-ing!!
I'm back - forgot to say what great picks Darnell! Well done ladies!

Oh, hey, Darnell! I came to say hello and now I feel honored to have my card featured here with Anita's cutie patootie. Thank you! Also, thanks for sharing Annie's learned-from-experience tip about releasing the clear stamps before they sit too long. I've had some that are pretty tough even brand new. I'll be mindful of that in the future. Pretty sure I'll be here a lot this month, ahem. The baskets overfloweth.
Fantastic cards by Anita and Leslie that you showcased Dolly! Congrats to both of them!
Thanks for the warning about clear stamps ... I have a heck of a time getting them off the acetate sheets when they are new! :) I will be going through all my stamps to release the NBUS ones. xx
Fantastic picks this time around and thanks for the good advice on storing clear stamps. Who knew?
