I coined the acronym NBUS in 2013 and ran several challenges until 2017. The term caught on and is still being used in Blogland, so I thought this would be a good time to resurrect my NBUS challenge. I set up this dedicated NBUS website for crafty artists to share their works of art containing any brand-new virginal Never-Before-Used-Schtuff! We bought it ~ now let's use it to share and inspire others!

NBUS Challenge ~ 16

Welcome!!

It's great to see you! Thank you for another month of rousing participation in the NBUS Challenge! We had an outstanding 148 entries in the gallery! You might want to bookmark this site as a wonderful go-to place for oodles of inspiration and design ideas!

From all those incredible entries, I have randomly chosen this card by Carol to be the Showcase entry for June.
Congratulations, Carol, and thank you for sharing your wonderful creation using your NBUS!

~~~
The basic idea of this challenge is evident in the name. Whether it's something you just purchased or something collecting dust in the back of a drawer, who isn't proud when they use something never-before-used in their creation? This is the place where you link up your work of art in order to share that pride and inspire others!
There are no limitations on what you can create, but there are a few RULES which you can find on the tab above. If this is your first visit, please take a minute to read them. You can also click here for answers to any questions you might have.
If you'd like, here's a badge you can share on your post:
The challenge is open from July 1, 2020 at 12:05 a.m. PST to July 31, 2020 at 10:00 p.m. PST. I can't wait to see what you share with us! As you can imagine, I have a huge mountain of NBUS, so I'm also going to proudly share here whenever I excavate something!
Thank you!
Congratulations to Carol on her wonderful masculine card....great colors and diecuts!!
Thank you, Darnell, for another fun NBUS challenge. It was unthinkable that the pretty peacock feather stamps I used for my entry had sat neglected in my stash for so long. It just shows you how blessed we are with deep stashes to have so many hidden treasures! Thank you for the encouragement to get them out and give them some love.
I'm a day late to the party, but THANKS for showcasing my card! I'm feeling more like crafting since I bought a couple new items - it's amazing how new schtuff gets those creative juices flowing again! hugs!
Hi, Darnell! Listen, I've played a couple of times and am horrified that I did not read the rules well enough to see no more than 9 challenges total! Well, I'll never be able to play! Was wondering if I could just play and never win? Please? I just like to play as I always have NBUS's. Oh and by the way, you commented about all the spammers - I'm so sorry you've had them, but you are not alone. I'm seeing them everywhere on the challenge blogs. They are like the Blogging COVID!!! EEK! XOX, Aimeslee
Hi Darnell
Just popping by with a NBUS card. I have searched through my blog and can not find any card made with these owls so I have declared them NBUS!
Hope you are well. Thanks for running this cahllenge and keeping us on track for using up our NBUS!
I could have sworn I left a comment here with a big thank-you for choosing my card to be in the spotlight, but I must have goofed, please accept my apology! I'm so honored and happy to know my card was chosen among all those great NBUS entries! Big thank-you hugs! Mwah!
Sorry, Carol. There was a glitch (operator error!) in the settings, which I've fixed. Thank you for bringing it to my attention! xxoo
I am here again Darnell - somehow I must have only used old stuff last month...
Carol does indeed make beautiful cards, but it is even more fun when she uses her NBUS! Congrats Carol, you are amazing my friend! Auntie, I'm here to play along, but if my post doesn't follow the rules, please excuse or delete me. I used butterfly stamps that were with a punch. I've used the punches before, but never used the stamps-they are old as the hills. So not sure if that disqualify's me or not. Thanks Auntie! Hugs, Brenda
