I coined the acronym NBUS in 2013 and ran several challenges until 2017. The term caught on and is still being used in Blogland, so I thought this would be a good time to resurrect my NBUS challenge. I set up this dedicated NBUS website for crafty artists to share their works of art containing any brand-new virginal Never-Before-Used-Schtuff! We bought it ~ now let's use it to share and inspire others!

NBUS Challenge #65

Welcome!!
This is a wonderful place to find design ideas
as we all share with each other how well we are doing
using our Never-Before-Used-Schtuff (NBUS)!

It's great to see you and I hope you're doing well! Thank you for playing in last month's NBUS Challenge with all your beautiful goodies! I really appreciate your enthusiasm and how you support and encourage me and each other!

From the incredible entries last month, I have chosen to showcase #55 Pat!
I love this clever idea of using the sailboat for the letter A and I love the stenciling! I think it's a perfect card for those of you enjoying the last full month of summer and vacation before school starts again! Congratulations, Pat, and thank you so much for sharing your wonderful creations using NBUS!

The basic idea of this challenge is evident in the name. Whether it's something you have just purchased or something collecting dust in the back of a drawer, you are proud when you use something never-before-used in your creation! This is the place for you to share those NBUS works of art! I will also proudly share whenever I excavate and use something!

There are no limitations on what you can create, but there are a few RULES which you can find on the tab above. If this is your first visit, please take a minute to read them. You can also click here for answers to any questions you might have.

You may use this badge for your blog post if you like, but it is not mandatory.
I can't wait to see what you share with us!
The challenge closes August 31, 2024, at 10:00 p.m. PST.

Have fun!
Thank you!

Thank you so much for showcasing my card Darnell, and I'm sure I will be finding plenty more NBUS items to use again this month, and thank you for continuing to give us all somewhere to display it, and also for giving us somewhere to come for oodles of wonderful inspiration and ways to use it. x

August? How can it possibly be August already?! Think I accidentally got on the High Speed 2024 train and it's making my ears hurt.
Pat's card is a total inspiration - what a great pick.
Thanks as always Darnell for getting us to climb NBUS Mountain.

Pat's card is so wonderful. I eally have to CASE it! Brilliant idea to use the sailboat in place of the "a", and that wonderful stenciling in the background is perfect. I thank you as well for helping us all dive into our NBUS stash. It is never ending! xx
