I coined the acronym NBUS in 2013 and ran several challenges until 2017. The term caught on and is still being used in Blogland, so I thought this would be a good time to resurrect my NBUS challenge. I set up this dedicated NBUS website for crafty artists to share their works of art containing any brand-new virginal Never-Before-Used-Schtuff! We bought it ~ now let's use it to share and inspire others!

NBUS Challenge #40

Welcome!!
This is a wonderful place to find design ideas
as we all share with each other how well we are doing
using our Never-Before-Used-Schtuff (NBUS)!

It's great to see you and I hope you're doing well! Thank you for playing in the June NBUS Challenge with all your previously unloved goodies! From all the incredible entries, I have randomly chosen #12 Karen Walker to be showcased:
I just love all those bright summertime flowers and colors! Congratulations, Karen, and thank you for sharing your wonderful creations using NBUS!

The basic idea of this challenge is evident in the name. Whether it's something you have just purchased or something collecting dust in the back of a drawer, it feels good when you use something never-before-used in your creation and here is where you share and show-off those NBUS works of art! And as you can imagine, I have a huge mountain of NBUS, so I will also proudly share whenever I excavate and use something. Instructions for how to link are on a tab above.

Guest Designer!

To thank you for sharing your NBUS all these years (and/or to schpark your fire if you're in a bit of slump), I am randomly inviting participants to join me as guest designers! This month I'm delighted to welcome Bonnie Klass of Stamping With Klass!

Wow, I’m so excited to be a Guest Designer at Darnell’s NBUS Challenge. I have a huge NBUS stash that
I’m trying to work through. It seems to grow faster than I can craft! Fortunately, I love making cards and I’m happiest when I’m in the craft room! My card-making journey started in 2008 and since I retired, it’s been a big part of my life. I have met so many wonderful people through this hobby, both in person and through my blog. I treasure these relationships and the inspiration. As an added bonus, I have plenty of cards to send out. When I’m not in the studio, I’m either with my family or I have my nose stuck in a book. So many fun things to do, so little time!

Here is Bonnie's beautiful card to inspire you:
Thank you for being our Guest Designer this month, Bonnie!

There are no limitations on what you can create, but there are a few RULES which you can find on the tab above. You can also click here for answers to any questions you might have. I've noticed there are a few entries that are forgetting the rule limiting the number of other challenges.

You may use this badge for your blog post if you like, but it is not mandatory.
I can't wait to see what you share with us!
The challenge closes July 31, 2022, at 10:00 p.m. PST.

Have fun!
Thank you!

Karen's card is just stunning! Wow -- lovely card. Welcome to Bonnie, she's got a great dragonfly card. That dragonfly is so fun with a pretty background to highlight it

Gorgeous cards by Karen and Bonnie. Thank goodness for your challenge Darnell - it's motivating me to use my NBUS goodies! Sadly, it isn't totally stopping me for buying more but it has somewhat slowed down the frenzy I was in at one point!

Hugs

Di xx

Karen's card is such a beauty and a very cheering sight at the top of the blog! How lovely to see Bonnie guesting this month too with one of her signature designs - that glorious background, wow! Thank you for continuing to inspire us to get to the bottom of our mountain of NBUS Darnell. Mwah! Vicky x

Beautiful card Bonnie and pretty sure I’ve that die but it’s used quite a few times already. Thanks Darnell for running this and I’m pretty sure no one else has put loo paper as a NBUS before?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 not only it works well so that’s a bonus indeed!
