I coined the acronym NBUS in 2013 and ran several challenges until 2017. The term caught on and is still being used in Blogland, so I thought this would be a good time to resurrect my NBUS challenge. I set up this dedicated NBUS website for crafty artists to share their works of art containing any brand-new virginal Never-Before-Used-Schtuff! We bought it ~ now let's use it to share and inspire others!

NBUS Challenge #44

Welcome!!
This is a wonderful place to find design ideas
as we all share with each other how well we are doing
using our Never-Before-Used-Schtuff (NBUS)!

It's great to see you and I hope you're doing well! Thank you for playing in the October NBUS Challenge with all your new goodies! From all the incredible entries, I have randomly chosen #28 Marcia Hill to be showcased!
I love the beautiful fall colors and all that texture! Congratulations, Marcia, and thank you for sharing your wonderful creations using NBUS!

The basic idea of this challenge is evident in the name. Whether it's something you have just purchased or something collecting dust in the back of a drawer, you are tickled when you use something never-before-used in your creation and here is where you share those NBUS works of art! There are instructions for how to link on a tab above. As you can imagine, I have a huge mountain of NBUS, so I will also proudly share whenever I excavate and use something.

Guest Designer!

To thank you for sharing your NBUS all these years (and/or to schpark your fire if you're in a bit of slump), I am randomly inviting participants to join me as guest designers! This month I'm delighted to welcome Bonnie Lynn Schroeder Ratzloff:

First, and foremost, I am so thrilled to have been asked to Guest Design for Darnell! I have admired Darnell's creativity and humor so much over the years. It never crossed my mind that I would end up as a Guest Designer for her; especially since I deal with chronic migraines, fibromyalgia, and lung issues (asthma/COPD/long haul COVID) which have kept me off the Internet more than I would have liked over the years.

I've been stamping since 1993 when a friend asked me to come to a
stamping party she was hostessing. I fell in love with the stamps and the idea of making my own Christmas cards, thinking it would be a cheaper, more personal, alternative to buying them in the stores. Ha! Who was I kidding, right? Through the years since, stamping and coloring have continued to be my relaxation, sanity, and escape as I deal with my health issues and those of my husband ~ who happens to be a bigger enabler than any advertising campaign!

I hope you find as much inspiration from my creations as I have found from
everyone else's over the years.

Here's Bonnie's heartwarming card to inspire you:
Thank you for being our Guest Designer this month, Bonnie!

There are no limitations on what you can create, but there are a few RULES which you can find on the tab above. If this is your first visit, please take a minute to read them and please especially note that there is a limit to the number of other challenges you may enter. You can also click here for answers to any other questions you might have.

You may use this badge for your blog post if you like, but it is not mandatory.
I can't wait to see what you share with us!
The challenge closes November 30, 2022, at 10:00 p.m. PST.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Have fun!
Thank you for your friendship
and support!

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

Congratulations to Marcia for being the random choice from last month and with such a beautiful autumnal looking card, and also it's great to see Bonnie Lynn as your Guest Designer this time and I love her Winnie the Pooh card..so cute! I don't think there can be a crafter on the planet who doesn't buy something and the for whatever reason it is left languishing in a draw or box and this makes us keep tabs on our schtuff and make sure we use it and inspire each other with our creations, so thank you Darnell for giving us a place to do so. x

Darnell, thank you for asking me to guest DT for you and for continuing the NBUS blog. I have inked up many stamps, printed digis, that have not seen the light before.
